Founder and Financial Planner Ian Waldo is a seasoned financial professional with a deep understanding of the complexities of financial planning and investment strategies. His expertise spans many areas, from assisting clients in navigating career transitions to providing comprehensive retirement planning solutions. Ian has established himself as a trusted advisor for professionals, individuals, and small business owners seeking expert guidance on their financial journeys.
Before launching Waldo Wealth Partners as an independent practice, Ian served as a Financial Advisor at Raymond James since 2007. He holds the Series 66 investment license, the Michigan life and long-term care insurance licenses, the Wealth Management Specialist, and has completed the Investment Management Consultant program.
Ian earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Michigan–Dearborn.
Ian and his family live in Northville, a suburb of Metro Detroit. Ian enjoys serving his community, supporting a variety of organizations, including Ambassadors Football, Another Way Pregnancy Center, Doorkeepers, Habitat for Humanity – Detroit, Northville Chamber of Commerce, Northville Soccer Association, Novi Right to Life, Oak Pointe Church, Plymouth Kiwanis, Salvation Army, The University of Michigan Club of Greater Northville, and The University of Michigan – Dearborn College of Business Alumni Affiliate Board.
In his free time, Ian enjoys spending time with his beautiful family and friends, traveling, playing or watching sports, listening to music, reading, and being outdoors in nature.
